The Robots and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Are Coming!

Welcome to the ATD Organization Development Special Interest Group.

In the December, 2018 issue of Talent Development (TD) magazine, Inhi Cho Suh, General Manager of IBM Watson Customer Engagement says that “we’re in such a nascent stage of cognitive computing that everybody needs to learn about it, not just people in the tech industry.” 2020 is just a year away.  AI, robotics, and constant technological innovation are continually changing the way people work and interact with one another as well as how organizations are structured and develop. Come explore the good, bad, and ugly implications of the brave new working world and the challenges talent development professionals face in preparing organizations and the workforce to thrive. To get your thinking wheels going, check out PWC’s 2019 AI Predictions Forbes’ Artificial Intelligence Will Replace Tasks, Not Jobs, and Business Insider’s article on Robots at Walmart. Bring your research, questions, and ideas to share!

This CoP session will be led by Suzanne Choma.
