SESSION DETAILS

Engaging Learners & Influencing Learning Here & Now

How do we as learning professionals engage our colleagues and clients? The here and now is a very different world than it was just 3-4 years ago. From a learning perspective, the pandemic opened up ways of working that many had been slow to adopt up until that point. We will discuss some of the ways that one Central New York company has been trying to influence learner engagement with a variety of CNY BEST award winning strategies.

Creating a Flexible, Autonomous & Engaging Experiences through Hybrid Learning

“From “analyze” to “evaluate”, we’ll explore considerations for designing a strong hybrid learning program.”

Learning Design: Delivering on the Changing Needs & Wants of Our Learners

Follow ESL on their journey from traditional instructor-lead, in-classroom training to a blended, multi-modal suite of training offerings that meet their learners on their own terms. In this presentation, Nicole Pearce, Learning and Development Specialist, and Michael Curasi, Senior Instructional Designer, will share how ESL’s Learning & Development team evolved their training and development offerings through the use of employee surveys, data analysis and best-in-class methodology. All while maintaining the person-focused culture that has established ESL as a top-10 Apex Award learning organization.

Experiential Learning Acivity: Inclusive Team Engagement

This 60 minute session will use applied theatre techniques to explore the theme of “Engagement”. No theatre experience is necessary to participate in this interactive session! We will use theatrical exercises to spark critical thinking and problem-solving, while engaging all the senses and having fun.
