Cynthia Ely   

Miss Cynthia Ely, is owner of The Refinement Studio LLC, and a UK Certified International Youth Etiquette Consultant.

She has spent her life assisting individuals and organizations in developing into their fullness. She has 25 years experience in teaching, coaching, and training both children and adults, and in instructional design, organization development and process improvement.

Currently, Miss Cynthia is a board director for the Soper-Wheeler Company, and New Zealand Redwood Company.

She enjoys time in nature, loves water and snow activities, and values the time she spends with her family.

Bob Peter

Bob Peter is the founder/president of Insights2Improvement, Inc.  He has partnered with organizations across industries and regions to improve leadership and team effectiveness.  He is a certified provider of Wiley Inscape (Catalyst Everything DiSC/Agile EQ) and TTI Success Insights suite of talent assessment tools.  Bob provides train-the-trainer programs for all assessment tools internalizing the expertise and capability of delivery maximizing returns on investment.

Bob is passionate about training (in-person and virtual) delivery, facilitation, and coaching.  His core business focuses on designing leaderhip development programs for high potentials incorporating assessment, a variety of learning methods, and small group coaching.  The Insights2Leadership framework links learning, application, and leader growth.

He is a father of four, loves fishing, and spending time with his family on the water.

Leanne Reed 

Leanne E. Reed is the CEO of Hubbub Solutions. She brings a unique blend of humor, candid truth, and expertise to her clients. Presently, her company, Hubbub Solutions, provides coaching for executives, leaders, and teams. The core of her work is creating courageous conversations, high performance competencies and transforming through transitions.  Consultation on organizational development and branding is also provided.

Leanne’s leadership experience includes corporate and not for profit sectors as well as launching three businesses of her own. While in senior leadership roles she was responsible for culture change, organization development, strategic planning and implementation, quality improvement, change management, succession planning,  leader and team development, training, fundraising, community relations and marketing.

Community involvement has included serving on eight boards, teaching at Nazareth College and  committee work for over 30 organizations. Leanne is a Certified Leadership/Life Coach, Certified Career Management Coach, Certified Behavioral Analyst and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Catherine Majane

Catherine Majane is an executive coach and Human Resources consultant with over twenty five years of experience as an executive coach, entrepreneur, independent consultant and corporate HR executive. She has worked with managers and executives in a wide array of industries, including high technology, consumer products, professional services and financial services. Her primary areas of expertise include:

After leaving the large corporate environment, Catherine founded and led two professional services firms focused on providing interim professionals and consulting expertise to small to medium-sized businesses and organizations.

Catherine earned her M.B.A. in Industrial Relations and Marketing from The Weather head School of Management, Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio and a B.A. in Sociology & Psychology from Nazareth College in Rochester, NY. She also completed a certification from Creative Energy Options in Executive Leadership Training and Coaching in 2003. Catherine completed the Certificate Program in Leadership Coaching at Georgetown University in 2010

VP Professional Development

Caley Ferguson

Caley Ferguson’s passion for talent development has guided her career as an adult educator and an advocate for the importance of quality growth and development opportunities within organizations and communities. She has over a decade of experience creating and delivering instructor-led and computer-based learning solutions in a variety of markets. As the Director of Learning and Development at CDS Life Transitions, she oversees the design and delivery of learning content for over 1000 employees.

Caley is a Literacy*AmeriCorps Alumna who holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature with minors in Writing and Gender Studies from West Virginia Wesleyan College as well as Project Leadership and Project Management Certifications from Cornell University. She is currently working towards earning a Master’s of Science in Organizational Leadership with a focus on Strategic Innovation and Change Management from Colorado State University (Global Campus).

In addition to serving on the ATD Board, Caley also serves as Mayor of The Forest Lawn Neighborhood Association Board. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading, gardening and spending quality time with her loved ones.

VP Diversity and Inclusion

Stanley Byrd

Stanley Byrd, Ed. D. serves as the Associate Director for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) for the University of Rochester Medical Center's (URMC) Primary Care Network. In 2021, Byrd created his company, NorthStar Consulting Circle, which focuses on professional, personal, and spiritual coaching, and leadership development.

Stanley is a servant leader who has a broad background in working with non-profit, community-based organizations and healthcare throughout the greater Rochester Metropolitan Area. His leadership and experience span more than thirty years. Other areas of expertise include Leadership development, human resources management, staff training and development, organizational development, diversity, equity, inclusion training, and program development.

Byrd serves as the Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for the Association for Talent and Development-Rochester Chapter as well as a Board Member for the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO).  

Dr. Byrd is a graduate of Saint John Fisher College, from which he earned a doctorate in Executive Leadership and is a Certified Associate Coach through the International Coach Federation.

Allyson Roote

Allyson Roote serves as the Director of Learning and Organizational Development at The Bonadio Group in Pittsford, NY.   In her role she is responsible for working hand-in-hand with all levels of the firm to develop a robust and dynamic learning strategy. She ensures that the learning solutions drive performance and focus on a holistic approach to development.

Prior to joining The Bonadio Group in 2015, Allyson held several leadership roles in Human Resources and Training at Canandaigua National Bank & Trust as well as Citibank and Unity Health System. 

Allyson has a passion for motivating people and helping them reach their potential.  She earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from the State University of New York, College at Cortland and her master’s in human resource development from Rochester Institute of Technology.  Additionally, she holds a professional certificate in human resource management and diversity and inclusion from Cornell University’s eCornell program.

Outside of work, Allyson enjoys many activities and new adventures with her husband, two children and golden retriever, Willow.

VP Social Media & Technology

Barbara Johnson

Barbara Johnson is an E-learning Instructional Developer at Philips.

She brings eight years of successful experience in writing and developing training courses. Before joining Philips, Barbara worked at Paychex as a Learning Designer, where she specialized in applying adult learning theories and creating engaging eLearning modules. As a firm believer in community service, she serves as the current Vice President of Social Media & Technology for ROCATD. For the past nine years, she’s also been a Girl Scout leader for her daughter’s troop.

Outside of work, she enjoys reading and hiking in the Adirondacks with her husband Craig, 14-year-old daughter Dagny, and eight-pound chihuahua Lucy.


Nancy Curtis

Nancy Curtis is the Vice President, Content for Logical Operations, the world’s leading provider of instructor-led technology-training curriculum.  In this role, Nancy directs the development of all Logical Operations’ CHOICE instructional products. Nancy has decades of experience developing and delivering both technical and soft-skills training programs for business professionals. She is passionate about the Logical Operations instructional approach, and loves to evangelize about the CHOICE product model. 

Besides serving as Secretary for ROCATD, Nancy is the long-time coordinator for Logical Operations’ Meals on Wheels Adopt-A-Route team, and is an 18-gallon Red Cross blood donor.

Nancy holds a B. Mus. degree summa cum laude from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin, and the M.Mus. from the Eastman School of Music. She remains active as a vocal soloist and in local church music. A native of the Chicago area, Nancy loves living in beautiful upstate New York.

VP University Relations

Ann Horn-Jeddy

Ann Horn-Jeddy is currently Assistant Director, Medaille College Rochester Campus. She is a lifelong learner and is passionate in helping students recognize their full educational potential. Ann has been an adjunct instructor in both on-ground and virtual classes in organizational culture, management, leadership, and systems thinking. 

Prior to working in education Ann has over a decade of experience managing restaurants, coaching, mentoring, and training in the hospitality industry.  She earned her MA in Organizational Leadership and a BBA in Management from Medaille College in Buffalo, New York.  She is an Alum of Leadership Rochester program.

In addition to serving on the ATD Board, Ann has served on the Action for a Better Community Policy Board that promotes and provides opportunities for low-income families to become self-sufficient.    

In her spare time, she leads a 100-plot community garden and grows food for the Brighton Food Cupboard.  She enjoys baking, spends time practicing yoga, golfing, and camping with her family.  ​
