Hudson-Mohawk ATD is holding our flagship annual event – the Talent Development Summit – this May in Troy, NY (Albany area).  This year, as in year’s past, we would like to use the email addresses of the National ATD members that are a part of your chapter in our marketing efforts - this list has already been provided by the ATD Chapter Services team.  We appreciate your endorsement in years past and hope that you will again this year.

This premiere event draws interest from all around New York State, as well as Connecticut, Massachusetts and Vermont and showcases top training, performance and organizational development experts in the Northeast.  Attendees learn about breakthrough solutions for our region to embrace economic globalization; a systematic approach to talent development and how to maximize their role in this new age of workplace learning and performance.

This year we are excited to be hosting Kimo Kippen, former Chief Learning Officer and current Vice President of Global Workforce Initiatives at Hilton who is responsible for creating lifelong learning alternatives for Hilton’s hundreds of thousands of team members. After joining the company in 2010, Kippen launched Hilton Worldwide University to deliver training and development opportunities to employees at all levels from corporate headquarters to Hilton’s 4,200 hotels, resorts and time-share properties in 93 countries. Due to his accomplishments as a learning leader, Chief Learning Officer Magazine named Kippen Chief Learning Officer of the Year in 2015. Under his leadership, Hilton received the Learning Elite Award in the same year. Kimo has served as the chairman of the board of the Association for Talent Development and currently sits on boards including the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL), Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund (APIASF), and the Defense Acquisition University (DAU) and is actively involved with Business Champions as a representative for Hilton.

To continually add value to your members’ ATD benefits, we are offering special ATD chapter rates.  Watch our conference page in mid-January for sessions and registration.  We also hope you will help promote this to your chapter only members and pass along the chapter rate information.  For those who may need to come a distance we have a special ATD rate at the Hilton Garden Inn, the location of the Summit.

Thank you for helping make this event a success and we hope you will consider joining us on May 11, 2018 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Troy, NY.

    Schyler Houck

    President, Hudson-Mohawk ATD
