Board Member Bios

Leanne E. Reed is the CEO of Hubbub Solutions. She brings a unique blend of humor, candid truth, and expertise to her clients. Presently, her company, Hubbub Solutions, provides coaching for executives, leaders, and teams. The core of her work is creating courageous conversations, high performance competencies and transforming through transitions.  Consultation on organizational development and branding is also provided.

Leanne’s leadership experience includes corporate and not for profit sectors as well as launching three businesses of her own. While in senior leadership roles she was responsible for culture change, organization development, strategic planning and implementation, quality improvement, change management, succession planning,  leader and team development, training, fundraising, community relations and marketing.

Community involvement has included serving on ten boards, teaching at Nazareth College and committee work for over 30 organizations. Leanne is a Certified Leadership/Life Coach, Certified Career Management Coach, Certified Behavioral Analyst and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Caley Ferguson’s passion for talent development has guided her career as an advocate for the importance of quality growth and development opportunities within organizations and communities. As the Manager of Employee Experience for Baldwin Richardson Foods, Caley is responsible for developing and executing programs which build human capabilities, create employee engagement, maintain a philosophy of employee development, and align internal communications, all with the focus of creating a culture of belonging. 

Caley is a Literacy*AmeriCorps Alumna who holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature with minors in Creative Writing and Gender Studies from West Virginia Wesleyan College as well as Project Leadership and Project Management Certifications from Cornell University. She also holds a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership with a focus on Strategic Innovation and Change Management from Colorado State University (Global Campus).

In addition to serving on the ATD Board as President-Elect and VP of Professional Development, Caley also serves as a member of MCC’s FWD Center Advisory Board and as Mayor of The Historical Forest Lawn Neighborhood Association Board. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading, camping, gardening and spending quality time with her loved ones.

Hans vonGehlen is a graduate of the Technical University of Darmstadt [TH] with a dual degree in Business and Engineering and a business veteran with more than 30 years of experience. He is the owner or founding partner of several local small businesses such as the German School of Rochester, HELIX Mfg. Inc., FairCraft Brauhaus and HGS Electronics Inc. Previously he served as a high-profile manager at BROSE and VALEO, then as a consultant for Topline and ARGO Consulting before starting his own firm EMPOWR Group / AXXELL Consulting. He is a mentor, author and Personal Leadership Coach.

Hans further served in many functions with local organizations, among others as past Director for Economic Development for the Webster Chamber of Commerce, past President of the Rochester Professional Consultants Network and as the current VP of Finance for the Rochester Chapter of the Association for Talent Development. Hans is certified in Lean Management, has a Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma, is certified as a Coach, Business Development Consultant, Train the Trainer, and Instructional Designer. He designs and facilitates workshops and webinars and coaches groups and individuals.

Hans has a passion for business and people alike and loves to help them thrive. His traits are accessibility, compassion and candor paired with creative problem-solving and leadership as he is able to rapidly analyze complex scenarios and lay them out in simple terms.

In his free time, he loves to travel, hike, sail, dance, build and fix stuff, and hang out with friends.


Nancy Curtis is the Vice President, Content for Logical Operations, the world’s leading provider of instructor-led technology-training curriculum. In this role, Nancy directs the development of all Logical Operations’ CHOICE instructional products. Nancy has decades of experience developing and delivering both technical and soft-skills training programs for business professionals. She is passionate about the Logical Operations instructional approach, and loves to evangelize about the CHOICE product model. 

Besides serving as Secretary for ROCATD, Nancy was the long-time coordinator for Logical Operations’ Meals on Wheels Adopt-A-Route team, and is a 19-gallon Red Cross blood donor.

Nancy holds a B. Mus. degree summa cum laude from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin, and the M.Mus. from the Eastman School of Music. She remains active as a vocal soloist and in local church music. A native of the Chicago area, Nancy loves living in beautiful upstate New York.


Lindsey Eagan has over a decade of learning and development experience, plus a few more years in teaching high school business courses. She is passionate about bringing meaningful content to learners without "overthinking" it. As the Sr. Manager of Training & Development at EagleView, she oversees training design, development and delivery for both employees and customers. Lindsey obtained her CPTM (Certified Professional in Training Management) in 2020 and is currently excited about her work in developing a new leadership training program for employees.


John Ventresca is a learning consultant, strategist, and designer with nearly 20 years of experience in learning and development. He started his custom learning solutions company, Unit One Learning, in 2018. His work, with some of the largest companies in the world and higher education institutions, including Meta (Facebook), Bank of America, Nissan, Cisco, Johnson & Johnson, and Cornell University, has been recognized numerous times.

John has a BA in Communication from American University and an MBA from the University of Rochester Simon Business School. He is a member of Strong Memorial Hospital’s Patient and Family Advisory Council, a volunteer for the Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Foundation and a healthcare public speaker and patient advocate.
