    Notes from our meeting...

    • Welcome new board members Ken Rhee VP Marketing, Leanne Reed VP Membership, and Cynthia Ely President-Elect
    • Website updates in 2020 will include overall redesign to increase ease of navigation and ROCATD branding efforts
    • All-member meeting Feb 25th will include new member orientation, chapter updates and BOD recognitions
    • Active ROCATD Communities of Practices (CoPs, previously SIGs) include Corporate Learning and Development, Organizational Design/Development and Consulting
    • Seeking new leaders for the Leadership/Coaching and E-learning/technology CoPs
    • Next membership survey will be in Q1-Q2 of 2020
    • ROCATD DBA and new bank accounts have been set-up and transition work will be completed in February
    • Chapter Affiliation Requirements (CARE) Survey is due 1/31/2020,, VP of Ops will requested needed BOD info and present survey for approval
    • Membership updates and renewals, personal contacts will be made to update current data-base
    • Chapter programs may include 1/2 to full-day sessions (Unconscious Bias and Disney Customer Service)

    Session Speaker: Creative Design - Think Big! To Elevate Your Learner’s Experience

    Eric is a Learning Designer at Paychex, from Rochester, NY. He has been working within the field of education and instructional design since 2012. Eric graduated from SUNY Potsdam with a B.A. in History and Social Studies Education in 2012 and he received his M.Ed in Instructional Technologies from the University of South Florida in 2016. In 2018 Eric was a recipient of Elliot Maise’s Learning 2018 30-Under-30 program. Eric’s career goal is to inspire others to enable their creativity by focusing on the learner experience.

    Kevin VanderNaald, MA, PCC, has over 10 years of experience coaching, speaking, and training about leadership development and emotional intelligence.  Known for integrating fun and play into his workshops, he has supported hundreds of people as they more fully live their greatness.  In addition to his private practice, Kevin has led trainings, workshops, and retreats with two international organizations specializing in leadership development.  Kevin is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and has a master's degree in economics which he leveraged for several years working at a top consulting firm in downtown Washington D.C. before leaving to live his greatness:  empowering and inspiring others.

    Dr. Kenneth S. Rhee is currently Dean, School of Business and Leadership, Nazareth College, Rochester, NY. He has worked extensively on competency assessment and development over the past thirty years with Fortune 500 organizations and non-profit and government institutions.  Some of his former clients include Coca Cola, Coopers and Lybrand, BF Goodrich, LTV Steel, Lexmark International, Roadway Express, NASA, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and others.  He has also been working in emotional competency development and leadership development coaching for the past several years.  He has also delivered numerous emotional competency development programs and speeches to a number of organizations and groups including Toyota, USA, Northwest Airlines, Family Business Institute, Sea World Entertainment, Bureau of Public Debt, Lucent Technologies, Northern Kentucky Chamber, and Wisconsin Health Education Network.
